Situated in Lansdowne Industrial Park, Jacobs, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, Spec Tool and Die specializes in the development, design and manufacture of plastics injection moulds, flip top closures, pilot working models and blow moulds. Working with leaders in the Cosmetic and Packaging Industry, Spec Tool and Die has grown to be one of the largest independent toolrooms within Southern Africa.

Started in 1991, by Dave Murgatroyd and later joined by Kenneth Moore and Shane James in 1997, Spec’s staff and workmanship have set high standards in the toolmaking industry. All three members are qualified tool and die makers and all served their apprentices as Tool and Die Makers at Custom Plastics. Dave also has a diploma in Sales and Marketing. All three members play an active role in the business.
